Rivermore Updates | Recap of the Second Physical Class of 2024 in UTM KL Campus

The physical classes held on June 1st and 2nd, 2024, concluded successfully. In addition to the Professional MBA, Rivermore Academy also trialed physical classes for Professional Diploma students, attracting a substantial number of participants.

One Day for Double Satisfaction

Unlike previous physical classes, Rivermore Academy made a new format—hosting physical classes for both Professional MBA and Professional Diploma students, each occupying one day, while also inviting special guests for topic sharing.

As a trial for the Professional Diploma physical class, it drew a notable number of students. As early as 8:15 AM, they began arriving at UTM's Kuala Lumpur campus, eager to meet everyone. They donned Rivermore Academy apparel, mingled with online friends over food and drinks, and then attended classes together.

Besides the Professional Diploma students, Rivermore Academy also catered to Professional MBA students. Over 100 MBA students attended, receiving custom Rivermore Academy shirts, enjoying delicious meals, and engaging in advanced course content.

Vibrant Atmosphere, Hands-On Business Leadership Coaching

Rivermore Academy introduced a new element—inviting special guests for topic sharing.

To avoid monotony, Rivermore Academy invited Winson Phuah from 10XCEOS to share insights on leadership.

The special guest didn't rely solely on PPT presentations but incorporated small activities to help participants grasp the concept of leadership.

Students, unfamiliar with each other, were divided into small groups and participated in a series of activities. Some completed tasks through democracy and initiative, some faced time constraints due to over-planning, and others adopted a try-and-error approach.

Through these activities, each student experienced different leadership styles and observed their effects within their groups.

Summary

This physical class introduced new experiments while maintaining established order and requirements. Both groups of students walked away with fresh insights, comprehensive knowledge, and skills for their theses. They also built valuable networks with peers.
