Over 50 MBA students from diverse backgrounds converged at the UTM Kuala Lumpur campus for the first "Let's Meet Together" MBA physical class in 2024. Together, they immersed themselves in knowledge and engaged in vibrant discussions about their work and business ventures.
Friends from Afar
On the morning of January 13, 2024, MBA students from Rivermore Academy gathered at the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia campus in Kuala Lumpur (UTM KL), traveling from various parts of the country to meet their peers.
The participants, hailing from locations like Sabah, Sarawak, Penang, Johor, and Ipoh, arrived a day early in Kuala Lumpur. One proactive student, even serving as the "class monitor," customized a batch of clothing for fellow classmates.
Given that previous classes were conducted online, Rivermore Academy organized ice-breaking activities to allow students to introduce themselves briefly, creating a lasting impression. The "class monitor" and a few active students took this opportunity to humorously suggest that everyone present might be a potential client, eliciting smiles from the entire room.
Energetic Second Half with Enthusiastic Questions
Rivermore Academy arranged delectable cuisine and pastries for three breaks during the class. Even during these breaks, students were actively networking, discussing, and sharing ideas. Some conversed with friends, some chatted with the student affairs department, and others consulted their course counselors, or sacrificing some break time to discuss assignments and papers with their tutors.
The first half of the physical class was led by Dr. Zakaria, who explained the intricacies of Project Paper 1. Miss Haryati took over in the second half, using real-world examples to guide students on how to excel in Project Paper 1. She even used students' professions as examples, advising them on suitable topics.
The post-lunch second half was particularly lively. After a period of lunchtime reflection, students accumulated numerous questions. During the Q&A session led by Miss Haryati, hands shot up, and everyone received satisfactory answers.
Following the second break, students returned to the classroom after indulging in desserts, with limited time left for the day. Sensing the students' concerns about finding research materials, the student affairs department utilized a brief 15-minute session to introduce several websites where students could access valuable information.
