The Inaugural English Class Takes Off
On January 17, 2024, the first English class officially kicked off at 8 p.m. and concluded promptly at 10 p.m.
From the moment registration opened, the free English For Workplace course had already captured the attention of many. By the deadline for the first batch of student registrations, the number of applicants had exceeded Rivermore Academy's expectations, proving to be highly popular.
This popularity became even more evident during the class, with over 100 students attentively participating in the Zoom. When the teacher posed questions, students actively responded using text or emojis.
More Than Just English: A Lesson in Workplace Skills
While many may assume that a English For Workplace course only teaches English, let's not forget the essence of "workplace." In addition to English language skills, participants in this course will also gain insights into various workplace aspects, such as job hunting, interviewing, job start, as well as the skills and knowledge required for effective collaboration.
Furthermore, upon completion of all four sessions of the free English For Workplace course, students have the opportunity to receive a certificate from OTHM, enhancing their resumes.
